A1: For basic app control via your phone (within 15 meters), no hub is needed. However, if you want to use Alexa/Google Home voice control or remote control when you are away from home, a Tuya Bluetooth Gateway is required.
Q2: Is this bulb bright enough to replace a traditional 40W bulb?
A2: Yes, our 5W LED candle bulb outputs approximately 450-500 lumens, which is the equivalent brightness of a traditional 40W-50W incandescent bulb, but with 80% less energy consumption.
Q3: Can I use this bulb with a physical dimmer switch on my wall?
A3: No. Smart bulbs have built-in dimming technology. Using them with a traditional wall dimmer can cause flickering or damage the electronics. Please keep the wall switch "On" and dim the light via the App or voice commands.
Q4: Does "RGBCW" mean it has real white light?
A4: Exactly. Many "RGB" bulbs mix colors to make a fake, bluish white. Our RGBCW bulb has dedicated white light beads, providing high-quality, adjustable white light (Warm to Cool) that is perfect for reading and daily tasks.
Q5: Will these bulbs fit in my existing chandelier?
A5: These use the standard E14 base and the classic C37 candle shape, making them a perfect fit for most decorative chandeliers, pendant lights, and wall sconces.
