The human presence sensor, equipped with 5.8GHz mmWave Radar for high precision, has the function of human presence, human static, human micro motion, and human motion detection, which can detect the presence or absence of people in the area. It can also accurately detect the static state, such as personnel sleeping. The sensor can output sensing results through wireless (WiFi, ZigBee, Bluetooth, 4G) or wired (RS485, RS232, dry contact, wet contact) methods to provide sensing and scene intermodal functions for IoT fields such as smart home, smart hotel, smart office, smart elevator, security monitoring, etc.

A1: Traditional PIR sensors only detect "moving" heat sources. Our mmWave Radar detects micro-vibrations, meaning it can sense your presence even if you are sitting perfectly still reading or sleeping.
Q2: Does this sensor require a Zigbee gateway to work?
A2: Yes, since this is a Zigbee 3.0 device, a Tuya Zigbee Hub/Gateway is required to connect the sensor to your smartphone and other smart devices.
Q3: Can the radar signal penetrate walls?
A3: The 5.8GHz frequency has some penetration capability. You can adjust the Sensitivity and Range in the App to prevent the sensor from being triggered by movement in the next room through glass or thin wooden partitions.
